Dame Couture is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Owners Julie Fehler and Holly Greenhagen have been sewing for a combined total of more than 40 years (we're older than we look, though a lady never tells her age).

Julie earned her bachelor's degree in fashion design from the University of Cincinnati.

Holly has an associate's degree in fashion from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and a bachelor's in journalism from Northwestern University.

You may remember some of Julie and Holly's work from the Chicago boutiques Made to Fit or A. Arsenault Clothing Cooperative. Currently they are both instructors at Columbia College.
